We are nearly there! The Poetry Ark will accept new poem submissions until midnight October 15th. After our final Current Round has run its course, we will launch our Prize Round October 29th, during which the approximately 150 poems advanced from our Current Rounds will compete.
Your votes will determine both our cash prize winners ($1,000, $500, and $250) as well as the top 100 poems to be included in a very special online Poetry Ark Anthology for the world to discover and enjoy. Winners will be announced in December and the anthology will be released shortly thereafter.
So….register if you have yet to do so, tell your friends about The Poetry Ark, submit your best work, and vote, vote, vote!

Process
The Poetry Ark Prize is chosen by your votes, with monetary prizes totaling over $2,000 awarded to the three top poems from our competition and their publishers.
Over the course of the year, we’ve featured Current Rounds of 12-20 poems, and your votes have selected the top six poems from each of these rounds for advancement to our Prize Round. The Prize Round will be available for voting from October 29th through December 10th. There will be around 150 poems included in it, so we’re doing our best to provide a generous window to encourage you to vote on every poem.
The author of the first place winning poem will receive $1,000. Second place will receive $500, and third place $250. The publishers of each of the winning poems (if published or self-published) will receive $125 each.
As mentioned above, in addition to the cash prizes awarded to the top three poems, we will produce the beautifully designed, downloadable Poetry Ark Anthology, including the 100 top-rated poems.
